    Everything You Know Is Wrong
    p 299.
Among the other good news: Artemisinin only attacks iron-heavy cancerous cells, leaving alone normal cells; having been used for thousands of years, its safety is well-known; and the cost of the treatment is insanely cheap-$2 per dose. The bad news is that this low cost cuts both ways. Because there’s no profit in a natural, non-patentable cure, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies will have no incentive to push it, so you may have to take the initiative.”

Swelling, usually sudden, sometimes a cup size in a few days
    Itching
Pink, red, or dark colored area (called erythema) sometimes with texture similar to the skin of an orange (called peau d’orange)
Ridges and thickened areas of the skin
    Nipple retraction
Nipple discharge, may or may not be bloody
Breast is warm to the touch
Breast pain (from a constant ache to stabbing pains)
Change in color and texture of the areola

This is a good site describing symptoms:

Less than 10% of breast cancers are hereditary and only 1% of all breast cancers are inflammatory. Have you had multiple family members with inflammatory breast cancer? This would be very unusual, but if you have your local teaching hospital would be interested in following you and your family and this would give you the best possible screenings.

However, it is more likely that you do not have a hereditary breast cancer in your family and if you are young enough that your mother went with you on a doctors appointment it is doubtful you have breast cancer. The chance of getting breast cancer at 25 years old is 1 in every 20,000. From 15-19 years old it is 1 in every million then for it to be a rare cancer on top of that……you can see how unlikely this is.

My wife presented with an area that was red, warm to the touch and burned/itched. The area had the signature orange peel look to it. So in as few words as possible, yes. Mammograms will not typically pick up IBC. A punch biopsy is the method of diagnosing this monster. Now , take a second for a big breath. IBC is very rare so it is not likely to be the case here. On the other hand, get her butt into see a breast specialist or OBGYN that knows what IBC looks like. I wish you the best of luck.

I don’t wanna sound offensive but Worldwide more people die influenza than breast cancer every year. Do you think we’re misusing resources?

It is likely the cancer will have spread to other organs such as liver and lungs. So these organs will fail. The pain will require treatment with morphine or other drugs. The patient is likely to lose weight and be very weak. Eating will be difficult, if the lungs are affected breathing will be difficult.

Odd you should mention this topic, Rebecca, 'cause just this week I received an email with a video about inflammatory breast cancer. I forwarded it to many of my friends and then deleted it. Now I wish I still had it to send to you. It was very interesting and also quite upsetting. Thanks for bringing the subject to our attention! I'd never heard of it prior to receiving the email!

Thank you for this alert – others need to know this type of cancer is out there.
Currently I have been commissioned to write a book on this subject, and therefore read your comments with interest.
I have an interest in breast cancer, as I edit http://www.after-cancer.com, and only hope that some time soon there will be a cure for cancer, and these websites and books will be history.
    One can dream!

Of course you should see a doctor to make sure it's not anything potentially dangerous but just so you know, the fact is that most types of cancer, including breast cancer has no pain associated with it. That's one of the reasons it's so hard to detect. Don't panic. :) God bless!!!

Hi, if life is full of stress and not enough sleep the hormone will malfunction which can make the cancer more active that leads to breast cancer. As i read few days ago, the book says stay away from acidic food like white bread, chicken, whatever is white in colour also eat more vegetables.

Health is in our hands..what you eat is what you get

Inflammatory cancer is different than the breast cancers most commonly seen. Some of the signs are dimpling of the breast, an inverted nipple, skin texture like the skin of an orange on the breast, the breast can become hard, red, feel hot. It can literally appear overnight, and it can be missed by a mammo.

If you even suspect that this is what might be going on, PLEASE, GET IT CHECKED! This is a more aggressive type of cancer, so please, don't mess around. And if you don't get answers or get a "let's wait and see", go to another doctor.

Can it be something else? Yes. I had the breast hardness, redness and it felt hot. It turned out to be breast cellulitis. But considering what the other alternative is, please get it checked.
